HAFLONG: At a time when people are losing trust on each other, an ex-serviceman and a successful agriculturist has come up to spread the message of imandari that is honesty among us by putting up a shop without a shop keeper at Retzawl on Haflong – Silchar road.

He has opened the shop without appointing any shopkeeper, at Lower Retzawl village near Calvary Prayer Point, Dima Hasao.

This shop works on principle 'where the trust is reciprocated, honesty flourishes' since the people can take whatever they want and keep money in the box.

S. Tuolour, Gaon Bura of Retzawl said the owner of the shop is an ex-serviceman who believes in mutual trust and wants to spread the message of trust in humanity throughout the district. He also said that with the inspiration of such 'imandari ka dukan' or shop of honesty many more such shops are being ready by the youths of Retzawl. Though the shop was put very recently but gathered a series of appreciation through social media and others.
