Shrinkage of railway track disrupts rail movement in NC Hills

HAFLONG: Due to shrinkage of railway track at km 57/0-1 between Mupa and Maibang, rail communication was disrupted between Lumding-Badarpur. The NF Railway authority has suspended all trains running from 22 hrs between to MPP -MBG in connection with shrinkage of track until further advice. The Railway officials from Lumding rushed to the spot for the restoration of the rail communication but considering the amount of shrinkage area, it will require time to restore, district administration officials said.

Meanwhile, the Agartala-New Delhi Rajdhani Special was short terminated at BPB and remained partially cancelled in between Badarpur-New Delhi.
