SI Exam Scam: Guwahati High Court rejects bail plea of accused Alakesh Baishya

SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna, Saroj Sarma, and Joydeep Baruah have also been sent to judicial custody by the court on Wednesday.

The bail plea of Alakesh Baishya, one of the accused in the SI recruitment exam scam of Assam Police was rejected by the Gauhati High Court. Baishya, the owner of 'Thank You Lodge' was also involved in the question paper leakage racket.

Meanwhile, on Wednesday, one of the main accused of the scam SP Kumar Sanjit Krishna, Saroj Sarma, and Joydeep Baruah has also been sent to judicial custody by the court.

Krishna was remanded to 5-day CID custody on October 16 along with Saroj Sarma and Joydeep Baruah. Three of them were produced in the court on Wednesday after completion of the 5-day CID custody.
