SI Junmoni Rabha death case: Central Bureau of Investigation quizzes senior cops

NAGAON: In connection with the mysterious death of SI Junmoni Rabha, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team on Thursday quizzed the then Superintendent of Police and Additional Superintendent of Police of Lakhimpur - Bedanta Madhav Rajkhuwa and Runa Neog respectively - at Nagaon Circuit House.

The investigative agency summoned both the senior cops to be present before the team at its temporary office at Nagaon Circuit House today. As per the directive of the CBI, Bedanta Madhav Rajkhuwa rushed to Nagaon Circuit House on Thursday morning while Runa Neog arrived at Nagaon Circuit House after a while.

The CBI first questioned both the senior officials together and recorded their statements. Subsequently, the team also quizzed ASP Runa Neog separately for quite some time and recorded her statement too, sources said, adding that earlier on Wednesday, the investigating team recovered the mobile phones of SI Junmoni Rabha that were missing since her mysterious death on May 15.
