SI Junmoni Rabha’s death: CBI examines CCTV footage of Haibargaon Outpost

NAGAON: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team that is camping at Nagaon circuit house here for over a month, on Sunday rushed to Haibargaon Outpost and examined CCTV footages of May 15 at the Outpost.

During the examination, the CBI team tried to match the sequences as mentioned in the statement of SI Abhajyoti Rabha, then in-charge officer of the Outpost, to the CBI a few days back here. Sources said that SI Abhajyoti Rabha in his statement mentioned that SI Junmoni Rabha had gone to Haibargaon Outpost to meet him at night on May 15, just some hours before her death at Sorubhogia under Jakhalabandha PS.

In the past week, the CBI also quizzed several local journalists and some other individuals who were personally associated with deceased SI Junmoni Rabha and recorded their statements. It is expected that the CBI team will quiz more individuals or journalists of satellite news channels or news portals in connection with the case, sources further added.
