Singer Angaraag Papon Mahanta appeals to masses to follow COVID-19 protocols

PATHSALA: Popular singer Angaraag Papon Mahanta has appealed to the masses to follow the COVID-19 protocols as laid down by the government. He also requested the people to wear face masks in public places.

Papon made this appeal on Saturday night while he was performing at a Bihu programme organized by the 'Pathsala Rongali Bihu Sanmiloni' at the Pathsala High Secondary School Field here in Bajali district.

Papon said, "After a long time I have come to Assam. During this COVID-19 pandemic, Assam is safe in comparison to the other States. But we have to wear face masks. Protect yourself and your family. I request all to follow the COVID protocols."

Due to the surge in COVID-19 positive cases, many Bihu organizing committees have cancelled Bihu functions across Assam.
