Sishu Mangal Divas observed by Tezpur Urban ICDS project at Sikshak Bhavan

TEZPUR: Sishu Mangal Divas was observed on Thursday by Tezpur Urban ICDS project at Sikshak Bhavan as part of the ongoing Poshan Maah with the aim to sensitize the community on locally available nutritious food and in order to create awareness about complementary feeding.

The ceremony was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner Bhupesh Chandra Das by lighting the ceremonial lamp in presence of SDO (S) and i/c DSWO Dipti Morang, CO, Tezpur, Pankaj Bora, CDPO, Tezpur Urban, District Coordinator of Unicef, Protim Goswami, Nutritionist, TMCH, team of Poshan and others.

A symbolic annaprasanna programme was also organized along with a demonstration of locally available nutritious food cooked by local women as part of a recipe competition. A food art demonstration was also organized.
