Sitala Puja celebrated in Demow Chariali Sitala Mandir

DEMOW: The 73rd Sitala Puja was organized in Demow Chariali on Tuesday at the Sitala Mandir which is situated near the NH-37 road and is one of the oldest temples in Demow.

On Saturday morning, the puja started with Kalash Yatra and after that the kalash was kept near Sitala Maa. The Sitala Puja started with rituals and after that the jaagya, aarti and anjali was done. Many devotees came from various places to offer prayers and seek blessings from Goddess Sitala. In the evening, prasad along with khichdi were distributed among the devotees. Sukumar Mukherjee performed the Sitala Puja. At night the cultural programme was organized.
