Sivasagar DC visits Khanamukh Paddy Procurement Centre

SIVASAGAR: Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav, Additional Deputy Commissioner Karmadev Brahma and officials of food and civil supplies department visited the Khanamukh Paddy Procurement Centre (PPC) on Thursday.

District Agriculture Officer, Nodal Officer and Agriculture Development Officer concerned also accompanied during the inspection. The PPC is run under the Food Corporation of India. The Deputy Commissioner directed the director of the PPC, Ganesh Rai and the employees to ensure that the farmers do not have to take back the paddy under any circumstances, there should not be any inconvenience to the farmers.

During the interaction with the farmers, he asked them about the procurement operations and also inquired about any issue. He also appealed to the farmers to bring only clean and dry paddy and the same variety of paddy to the PPC.
