Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner reviews welfare schemes of tea garden areas

SIVASAGAR: To review the overall development of the people of the tea garden area and the various government schemes to be received by them, Sivasagar Deputy Commissioner Aditya Vikram Yadav chaired a meeting with all tea garden managers under the Sivasagar district at Sukafa conference hall of the Deputy Commissioner's office on Friday.

Apart from the Deputy Commissioner, Superintendent of Police Subhrajyoti Bora, District Development Commissioner Subhan Gowala, Chief Executive Officer of Zila Parishad Ashwini Doley, and other officials were also present in the meeting.

The meeting discussed MGNREGA, job cards, tea garden land development, various certificates of tea garden students, health and medical aspects of the people of tea gardens, ATMs in the garden areas etc. Various issues like tea tourism were also discussed extensively. The Deputy Commissioner directed the garden managers in the meeting to take all necessary measures for the welfare of the people of the tea garden area.
