Sivasagar district committee of Nath (Shaivite) Xahitya Xabha formed

SIVASAGAR: Sivasagar district committee of Nath (Shaivite) Xahitya Xabha was formed at Sankardev Shishu Vidya Niketan at Amolapatty in Sivasagar town on Sunday. Speaking at the meeting held under the chairmanship of State Nath (Shaivite) Xahitya Xabha President Nilakanta Nath, State Vice President Jiban Chandra Bora said that the Nath Xahitya Xabha is not just for the Nath community. The word Nath comes from Bholanath i.e. Param Brahma Shiva. This Nath Xahitya Xabha is associated with Shaivite tradition and is consisted with Shiva devotees. All devotees of Lord Shiva can be associated with the xabha regardless of caste and race. Speaking at the meeting, anchored by state secretary of the xabha Bhaskar Baruah, noted poet Bhaskar Das said that Shaivite tradition has been prevalent in Sivasagar district since ancient times. Das called upon all to further expand the Shaivite tradition.
