Six country-made guns seized near Laxmi River in Udalguri

TANGLA: In its continued efforts to curb anti-social activities along the Indo-Bhutan border, the troops of 37 Bn SSB stationed at border outpost Deepabasti, seized six country-made guns near Laxmi River on Wednesday night and apprehended one person named Simson Ghatwar (25), son of Jogeshwar Ghatwar, hailing from Corramore Niche Line village under Harisinga PS in Udalguri district. The seized items and apprehended person were later handed over to Harisinga Police and a case has been registered vide case no. 50/18 under section 25(1-B) of Arms Act.
