GOLAGHAT: The 6th International Yoga Day was celebrated in 142 Bn, CRPF (Central Reserve Police Force), Jonaki Nagar, Golaghat on Sunday while maintaining social distancing among the troops as per COVID-19 protocol.

On the occasion, troops of all ranks participated. Among the officers, Om Prakash, Commandant, and Ratul Das, Second in-command of the unit, were also part of the function. The troops showed great enthusiasm and interest in doing various yoga exercises. Speaking on the occasion, the Second In-command of the unit, Ratul Das said that along with the rest of the country, CRPF too actively participated in the events on the occasion of International Yoga Day. He said that the troops of 142 Bn CRPF would create awareness about the necessity of yoga among the public in their area of responsibility.

DHUBRI: Bongaigaon Refinery celebrated the 6th International Yoga Day through a virtual yoga session.

Yoga Guru Sanjoy Chakraborty took the yoga session on Sunday for all stakeholders, including interns, apprentices and their families. The virtual session was graced by A Kalita, ED & Refinery Head, who also inaugurated the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Kalita underlined the importance of yoga for developing strong mental and physical health. Kalita made an appeal to the members of team BGR to regularly practice yoga and stay healthy, both physically and mentally, for strong immunity so as to serve the nation meaningfully. As per the guidance of the Ministry of AYUSH, Bonagiagon Refinery celebrated this year's International Yoga Day with the theme 'Yoga at Home, Yoga with family'.

DEMOW: The 6th International Yoga Day was observed in Demow. Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, the people of Demow and Bharatiya Janata Party Yuba Morcha members of Thowra constituency practiced yoga in their respective houses.
