BISWANATH CHARIALI: At the initiative of Biswanath Chariali Branch of Assam Science Society and Akash Science and Environment Education Centre, a massive solar eclipse observation programme was held at several places in Biswanath district on June 21. People and students enjoyed this rare cosmic phenomenon at Biswanath Chariali, Gelapukhuri, Chatiya Bhaskarjyoti Adarsha Vidyapith and Dekorai Higher Secondary School with the help of pin-hole camera, Mylar glass and welding glass No. 14 while maintaining social distancing. Pranab Ojha and Rumi Barai of Bhaskarajyoti Adarsh Vidyapeeth tried their best to remove superstition from the minds of the students by feeding edibles during the eclipse.

Kshirdhar Baruah, founder president of Akash Science and Environment Education Centre, explained to the people how the solar eclipse takes place.
