Smuggled Arunachalee liquor seized in Biswanath

BISWANATH CHARIALI: A police team led by Jayanta Baruah, DSP (HQ), Biswanath and assisted by Inspector Sanjit Kumar Ray, O/C, Biswanath Chariali PS and SI Sagar Shah, O/C, Gingia PS, detected and seized 734 cartons containing 17,616 cans of smuggled Arunachalee liquor from a vehicle bearing registration no. AS25 EC 2017 on Monday night on the National Highway 15. The vehicle was also seized. Police arrested three accused persons in this connection. They were identified as Kazimuddin Seikh (24) and Md Ajmir Ali (24) of Pukalago village in Goalpara district and Prahlad Gogoi (35) of Najapoka village in Charaideo district.
