Social Development Forum (SDF) holds special event for aged in Numaligarh

Numaligarh: Social Development Forum (SDF), in collaboration with Morangi senior citizens’ association, organized a special event for old age people titled ‘Health, Care and Celebration of Old Age Life’ at Doigrung Pandit Hemchandra Goswami Vidyapeeth on Sunday.

Morangi Press Club secretary Priyangdeep Kakoti inaugurated the programme and spoke about the responsibility of the family members of old people to encourage them to stay connected to the mainstream society.

Dr Botcho Gopal Goswami, former joint director of the Health department, Golaghat was present as resource person. Hundreds of senior citizens of the Morangi area participated in the programme. Issues related to health care and living the old age with dignity and positive mentality was discussed in the programme. SDF general secretary Dhrubajyoti Bora stated that the main aim of this programme was to generate awareness amongst people.
