Social worker Arun Bordoloi of Sootea awarded

JAMUGURIHAT: Arun Bordoloi, a teacher and social-worker of the greater Sootea area has been awarded with Sahitya Kandari Padmanath Gohain Barua title for the year 2022 by Mahasay Prakashan Parishad, Assam. Notably, Bordoloi, a resident of Borpam Tiniali to the north of Sootea had been shortlisted for this title for his outstanding services rendered for the well-being of the society. Arun Bordoloi has been serving as a secretary of VDP secretary of Borpam Tiniali for long. He plays active role towards eradication of superstition in tea garden areas besides arranging medical camps in remote areas. He is closely associated with LP teachers' association. Every year, the Borpam Tiniali VPD organizes World Environment Day with daylong activities. He assists the civil administration in taking actions against drug peddlers, illicit liquor dealers besides organizing sports events. Organizations and individuals have conveyed best wishes to Bordoloi for his achievement.
