Sonitpur DTO Umesh Chandra Sarmah served show-cause notice

TEZPUR: Based on complaint and allegation of irregularities in the system of functioning in the office of the District Transport Officer here, senior assistant of the office, Dinen Kumar Pegu has been placed under suspension under Rule 6 (i) of Assam Services (Discipline and Appeal) Rules, 1964.

Meanwhile, the DTO, Sonitpur district, Umesh Chandra Sarmah has been served a show-cause notice for his failure to maintain discipline and decorum in the office.
