Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika inaugurated Green Itakhola Clean Itakhola Mission

JAMUGURIHAT:  Sootea MLA Padma Hazarika on Wednesday inaugurated an environment-friendly Green Itakhola Clean Itakhola mission undertaken by the Sootea Anchalik Panchayat and Itakhola Chambers of Commerce at Itakhola commercial centre on the northern part of Jamugurihat and joined hands in the plantation drive.

A total of 75 saplings of local varieties were planted in memory of the eminent personalities of the greater Itakhola area. Inaugurating the green mission, MLA Hazarika praised the timely initiative undertaken by the organizers. The plantation drive was attended by Lakhi Kanta Bora, president of Sootea Anchalik Panchayat, Bhanu Ranjan Bora, range officer of Diplonga range, Ashok Gupta, among others.
