Sootea police apprehended drug peddler with heroin

JAMUGURIHAT: Acting on a tip-off, an investigation team of Sootea police managed to apprehend a drug peddler on Saturday along with a container of heroin. According to information, Sootea police got secret information that one Rahul Das, a resident of Biswanath Chariali came to Sootea to sell heroin. Following the information, a team of Sootea police managed to apprehend the drug peddler along with a vehicle bearing registration number AS 12 6801. The investigating team recovered a container of 7 gram heroin. He was brought to Sootea police station for further investigation. The operation was conducted by Shyamal Jyoti Saikia, officer in charge of Sootea police station along with second officer in-charge Abhijit Bharali and the team.
