KOKRAJHAR: The All Bodo Students' Union (ABSU) has taken a special orientation programme for civil services for six days at six different locations starting from June 25 at Kokrajhar, June 26 at Bijni, June 27 at Mushalpur, June 28 at Udalguri, June 29 at Tezpur and June 30 at Guwahati.

In a press meet held at Kokrajhar Press Club on Tuesday, the vice president of ABSU Kwrwmdao Wary said the union of the orientation programme will help to inspire the aspirants to serve in the civil service. He said the inaugural orientation function would be inaugurated by Hiren Nath, ADGP (SB) Assam and many guest speakers will attend the programme.

He said the ABSU over the years had been working for the quality education, career building and generating skilled human resources across Assam especially wherever Bodo students exist. He also said at present for India's highest level officers selected through the civil services examination by UPSC and at state level by APSC there are only a few from the Bodo community who had achieved with their hard work. Time and again ABSU has been trying to create awareness among the interested graduates for many years.
