Special RAT drive in Gaon Panchayat & block development offices

HAILAKANDI: In view of rising COVID-19 cases in a rapid manner in the district and to bring under control the spreading rate, massive Rapid Antigen Test drive will be carried out in the next few days.

In an order issued to this effect here on Saturday, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Health, EL Faihriem stated that the RAT drive will be carried out at Panchgram NH point under Panchgram Gaon Panchayat on Monday and Tuesday, NH Boalipar Bazaar and its surrounding areas under Boalipar GP, NH Sahabad Bazar and its nearby areas under Sahabad GP, Katlicherra Bazaar and surrounding areas under Katlicherra GP, Rangabak and nearby areas under Rangabak GP and NH Krishnapur Bazaar and its surrounding areas under Mohammadpur-Joykrishnapur GP on Monday.

In a separate order issued here on Saturday, ADC, Faihriem stated that a special RAT drive will be conducted at all the block development offices across the district in view of large gatherings of people at these offices. Special RAT drive will be conducted at Hailakandi block development office on Monday, Algapur BDO, Katlicherra BDO and South Hailakandi BDO on Tuesday and Lala BDO on Wednesday.

The district administration is focusing on RAT for quick detection and isolation of positive cases to prevent further spread of the disease in the community.
