SSB Seizes 100 Litres of Illegal Diesel from Omni Van on Bhutan Border

KOKRAJHAR: The 6th Bn. SSB carried out an operation based on the input of Coy ANC near Indo-Bhutan border on Monday morning and seized a Maruti Suzuki Omni van bearing No. AS 19A/ 0182 loaded with 100 litres of diesel which was being illegally carried from Bhutan. The car was seized by the D. Coy of the SSB at Dadgari along Indo-Bhutan border and the driver of the vehicle was also been apprehended as he failed to produce any documents of the item being transported. The team under command of ASI/GD Bipul Ch. Roy along with OR’s four executed the operation.

Sources said the SSB team seized one Maruti Suzuki Omni Van, 100 litres of diesel of worth value Rs1,31,200 approx. and apprehended the driver of the car-Nakul Lama, son of Dendu Lama of village Hatisar under Runikhata PS of Chirang district. The seized items and apprehended person have been handed over to Land Custom, Dadgiri along Indo-Bhutan border.
