MANGALDAI: "The internet has made information accessible for any student in any corner of the world. Now there is hardly any difference between a student of Delhi and Mangaldai so far as the access of information-based knowledge is concerned. However, it depends on the proper utilization of the internet," said.

Debangan Sarma, a State topper in Assam Land Reserve Service (ALRS) presently serving as the Attached Officer at Mangaldai Revenue Circle. He also urged upon the students to use internet effectively for their future academic career.

He was interacting with a group of secondary standard students as a resource person in a motivational program at Gurukul Group of Educational Wing School jointly organized by the school management committee and Mangaldai Media Circle (MMC) on Tuesday. Based on his personal experience, resource person Sarma shared different tips with the students on preparations for cracking competitive exams, including overcoming conflicts with the parents over choosing a future career.

National award recipient teacher Sasanka Hazarika, president of MMC, Bhargab Kumar Das and Director of Gurukul Group of Educational Wing, Durlav Sarkar also delivered motivational speeches and citing several inspirational examples, they explained how to gain self- confidence.

The programme moderated by Subhadra Saha, a faculty, was also attended by the Principal of the institution, Sangeeta Adhikari Sarkar and office bearers of MMC.
