SILCHAR: The body of a 12-year old student was found inside a madrassa hostel under mysterious condition at Hawaithang Darus Salam Hafizia and Aliya Madrasa in Dholai. Prima facie evidence clearly indicated a brutal murder as the student, identified as Rojimul, was found in a pool of blood and his throat was slit.
At around 3.30 am on Sunday, a fellow student of the madrassa woke up to give the Fajr call for prayer and he first saw blood spilled in the room. He later found Rojimul, lying on his bed with his throat slit. The matter was soon informed to the authority and police arrived at scene immediately. Later, Superintendent of Police Nomal Mahatta, Dholai OC Manoj Baruah also visited the crime scene. Police sealed the madrassa, established in 2013 by a local cleric named Moulana Fakhrul Islam. Police have already detained Mousin Rahman, teacher, and Abdul Kashim, ‘Khadim’ or employee of the madrassa. Police source said, the room where Rojimul’s body was found was shared by six other boarders. On Saturday night, altogether 20 students were present in the madrassa apart from a teacher and a watchman. Police sent the body of Rojimul, son of Jainal Hossain Laskar, a resident of Frenchnagar village, for post mortem.
