Student from Doomdooma FRU tests negative for COVID-19

DOOMDOOMA: One COVID-19 suspected case referred from Doomdooma FRU (30-bedded government hospital) proved to be negative when tested in ICMR - Regional Medical Research Centre, NE (RMRC, NE), Lahowal near Dibrugarh.

A 22-year old student who is studying Human Resource Management in Jamshedpur, fell ill after his return from there a few days back. When he did not recover after getting preliminary treatment at Doomdooma FRU for coughing and dizziness, the case was referred to Tinsukia Civil Hospital from where it was further referred to ICMR - RMRC, NE, Lahowal, the only authentic testing centre for COVID-19 virus. The sample tested negative much to the relief of his family members as well as that of the people of Doomdooma.
