JORHAT: A total of 1,840 students from 15 districts are on a three-day Gyanjyoti Tour-2019 to various scientific institutions, research institutes, Air Force Station, Neematighat, Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary, Assam Agricultural University, Planetarium and Lachit Maidam.
Students from Nagaon, Karbi Anglong and Cachar were thrilled to witness the new exhibits and findings at the planetarium. Most of the visiting students were inspired by the experimental activities of the North East Institute of Science and Technology, Tocklai Tea Research Station and Assam Agricultural University.
In the evening, dances of various cultural groups were showcased. On the last day on Sunday, the best team will be awarded during the closing ceremony. State Education Minister Siddharta Bhattacharyya is likely to attend as the chief guest of the closing day function.
