Summer workshop by Assam State Museum concludes

A CORRESPONDENT

DHUBRI: A week long creative museum summer programme organised by Assam State Museum concluded on Sunday. A programme, "Tradition and Art of Terracotta" including sketching, clay modelling and pottery workshop, a workshop on the conservation of terracotta artefacts, a screening of a documentary film and an educational tour of the heritage sites in Hajo was held.

The programme was curated by District Museum Officer, Mrinmoy Das. A total of 20 participants, from Guwahati, Morigaon, Lakhimpur and North Guwahati actively participated in the week long programmes.

The clay modelling workshop was conducted by an artist and sculptor, Hemanta Saikia and Bikram Senapati respectively of Assam State Museum while sketching workshop was conducted by Architect of Assam State Museum, Pragyan Kranti Kalita, and the conservation workshop was done by conservator in charge of Assam State Museum, Ashok Das.
