Suspected COVID-19 Case in Barpeta District

PATHSALA: Amid the nationwide panic over COVID-19, it has come to light that a 45-year old man from Barpeta district has been shifted to Fakhruddin Ali Ahmed Medical College and Hospital (FAAMCH) for tests.

A resident of Kathalmurighat area under Bajali subdivision in Barpeta district, the man had arrived at Bajali from Kerala recently. Now, it has come to light that he is suffering from high fever and dry cough, said Dr Manjit Das, health officer. Earlier, the man allegedly refused to obey the direction of health officer Dr Manjit Das who advised him to stay in isolation at home. The man roamed about despite being asked to stay at home.
