Swachhata hi Seva Abhiyan Campaign Continues in Guwahati

GUWAHATI: Centre for Flood Management Studies Guwahti (CFMS), regional centre of The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) conducted an awareness programme and drawing competition with a theme 'Say No to Plastics' at Cherry Town Public School, Guwahati recently as a part of 'Swachhata hi Sewa Abhiyan launched nationwide. A total of 40 students participated in the competition and were made aware of Plastic Waste Management, given the detrimental effect of uncollected plastic waste on human beings, animals and the environment at large, stated a press release.

Speaking on the occasion CPS Guwahati Principal Debyahuti K. Lahkar said that the school inculcates the habit of continuous cleanliness throughout the year. Understating the importance of a clean mind, clean body and clean surrounding the school inculcates and instill values to help children understand and respect mother earth.
