Swachhta Pakwada observed in Subansiri Lower HE Project at Gerukamukh

LAKHIMPUR: Swachhta Pakwada was observed in NHPC's Subansiri Lower Hydroelectric Project (LSHEP), located at Gerukamukh from May 16 to May 31.

The fortnight-long event commenced on May 16 with Vipin Gupta, Executive Director of the Project, administering the Swacchta Pledge amongst the employees of the project. Addressing the employees, Gupta said that the employees of the project and all should be committed towards cleanliness in and around their place of living and area of operation so that the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of making the country clean and healthy, would become a reality.

During the fortnight, cleanliness drives were arranged by different divisions of the project as well as in the township of the project.

A review meeting was organized during the concluding day of the event on May 31, wherein Executive Director of the Project, Vipin Gupta appreciated the employees of the project for their overwhelming participation during the Swachhta Pakwada. The session, which was also attended by different Heads of the Departments of the project, discussed the future course of action for making the project area and its vicinity a better place to live in.
