Sweet Lime 'Mosambi' exhibition held in Biswanath district

Biswanath Chariali: An exhibition of “Mosambi” (sweet lime) and cutter valencia was inaugurated by local MLA at Uttar Maralgaon village in Biswanath district on Friday. The programme was conducted by Dr. RK Sonkar, Principal Scientist, ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur. The first demonstration of citrus in the village is expected to boost a new dimension to the area and also to encourage citrus plantation among the villagers.

The said programme has been funded under NEH region demonstration by the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India and implemented by ICAR-Central Citrus Research Institute, Nagpur. It needs mention here that a Regional Research Centre for Citrus has been set up in Biswanath College of Agriculture.
