Swiss Nanotechnology Award 2023: Dr Arunav Bordoloi of University of Basel, Switzerland awarded

TINSUKIA: In a significant milestone, Dr Arunav Bordoloi of University of Basel, Switzerland has been awarded the prestigious Swiss Nanotechnology Award 2023 at the annual Swiss Nano-Convention held in Neuchatel, Switzerland.

An initiative of the Swiss Micro-and Nanotechnology Network and sponsored by IBM Research Europe, the award is presented for excellent scientific first-author publications in the field of Nanotechnology & Nanoscience each year. Dr Bordoloi was recognized for his outstanding first author publication ‘Spin cross-correlation experiments in an electron entangler’ published in Nature 612, 454 (2022), the citation stated, adding further that Dr Bordoloi’s work is considered an important step toward further experimental investigation of quantum mechanical phenomena in nanomaterials and building a quantum computer.

Dr Bordoloi is the eldest son of Nogen Bordoloi, a former professor of Doomdooma College in the Department of Commerce and Dr Rupanjali Sarma Manager NEEPCO. Resident of Chaliha Nagar Tinsukia, Dr Bordoloi is presently working as a Scientist at the University of Maryland USA.
