BAKSA: Tributes were paid to the Assam Police personnel who were killed in the Assam-Mizoram border clash recently, by Tamulpur Anchalik All Assam Students' Union (AASU) on Thursday evening.

Tribute was paid to the brave police personnel by lighting lamp in their memory, during a solemn function held at Ghagrashok in Tamulpur subdivision on Thursday evening. Former president of All Baksa District Students' Union, Soneswar Kalita started the tribute ceremony.

Police officers Mahendra Prasad Roy and Biraj Baruah of Tamulpur Police Station also participated in the function and paid homage to the brave police personnel by lighting lamps. Participating in the tribute ceremony, former president of All Baksa District Students' Union, Soneswar Kalita called upon Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma to take measures to give justice to the slain police personnel. He wished speedy recovery to the Assam police personnel who were injured in the clash.
