TAMULPUR: Sensation prevailed in Tamulpur after a youth was allegedly killed in Chennai on February 21. The deceased youth was identified as Pranjal Das (28), son of Dinesh Das of Bareigaon village under Tamulpur police station in the district of Tamulpur. According to family members of Pranjal, he had been working in a company in Chennai, Tamil Nadu under SIS Security and Intelligence Services for the last four years. On February 21, family members of Pranjal received information about his death. That day Pranjal talked to his mother over telephone at about 9:30 am and later the family received news about his death.

Pranjal's family member told media persons that Pranjal was invited for lunch by a colleague who hails from Moran, Assam. Receiving the information, family members of Pranjal rushed to Chennai and an FIR was lodged in Guindy police station. Pranjal's family has demanded proper investigation into his death.
