TE owner Harender Singh Barnala gifts land to worker on occasion of May Day

DOOMDOOMA: Harender Singh Barnala, proprietor of Kakapather Tea Company and Gurudev Tea Estate gifted a plot of land to one of his sincere and duty-bound worker Renuka Kushal Das on the occasion of May Day. Barnala who started from a scratch became owner of the tea factory and the tea estate under reference solely due to his hard work. Besides transferring the ownership of the said plot of land in the name of the said worker, Barnala thought it would be proper to declare the wage enhancement of all the workers engaged in plantation and production of the aforesaid two firms.

To mark the occasion, he also distributed essential commodities to the workers and provided free eye treatment to several workers. Barnala’s effort to celebrate the workers solidarity day in such an exceptional manner was appreciated by many in the tea circle.
