Dibrugarh: A number of multi-national and private tea companies, after having several rounds of discussion with the Assam Chah Mazdoor Sangha (ACMS), have agreed to pay 20 per cent bonus of 2018-2019 before the ensuing Durga Puja festival. However, ACMS general secretary Roopesh Gowala, in a press communiqué stated that management of two or three tea estates had agreed to pay 20 per cent bonus in two instalments.
The tea estates who agreed to clear 20 per cent bonus on or before September 13 are Rossel India Limited (15%+5 %), Andrew Yule & Company Limited (15%+5%), Goodrick Group (15%+5%), Amguri India PrivateLimited (15%+5%,), Stuart Holl India Limited (15%+5%), MK Shah Export Limited (20%), Joketoli Tea Company (15%+5%), Jorehat Tea Company (20%), Usha Tea Estate (20%), Hollong Habi Tea Estate (20%), Bojaloni Tea Estate (20%), Badulipar T.E.(20%), Krish Suashini T.E,(20%), Silonibari T.E , (20%), Singrimari T.E. (20%), Ambika Tea Company (20%), Subline Agro (20%) and Vergaon TE (10%+4%+6%). Gowala hoped that the bonus agreement with the rest of the tea companies would be completed soon.
