Teacher and social worker Anand Ranjan Baruah passes away

TINSUKIA: Anand Ranjan Baruah, founder teacher of Ujani Sadiya ME School, former vice-president of Sankardev Sangha, Tinsukia district, social worker and father of Hitendra Kumar Baruah, central secretary of Assam Chah Karmachari Sangha (ACKS) and secretary, ACKS Doomdooma branch, passed away due to old-age ailments at his Athmile, Sadiya residence.

He taught in the school till his retirement. Moniram Gogoi and Joychandra Saikia, president and secretary of Panitola branch of ACKS, deeply mourned the demise of Ananda Ranjan Baruah and expressed condolences to the bereaved family. He is survived by two sons, a daughter and eight grandchildren.
