Teachers' Day celebrated with 5-day-long programme in Mangaldai

MANGALDAI: The Jan Sikshan Sansthan (JSS) Darrang, as per the instruction from the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), Government of India, this year has celebrated the Teachers' Day in a unique way with a five-day long detailed programme from September 5 to September 9. As per the instruction of the MSDE, Additional Deputy Commissioner Sanjeev Bora supervised the smooth celebration of the programme.

This detailed programme included meeting of resource persons and beneficiaries to offer felicitation to the best resource person in each course trade at Youth Club, Mangaldai, Darrang, followed by a programme 'Mera Teacher Mera Hero' with the active participation of the resource persons and beneficiaries. A skill competition was also arranged among the beneficiaries followed by a demonstration in skill training in its functional training centres. On the closing day, the JSS organized an awareness campaign to motivate the youth in joining the skill development programmes, where prizes and certificates were offered to the winners of the skill competitions.
