DHUBRI: Tezpur legislator Brindaban Goswami appealed to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe entrepreneurs of Sonitpur district to grab and avail the opportunities offered by the Central and State governments. He was speaking at an awareness programme on National Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe Hub (NSSH) Scheme held at the conference hall of Prashanti Tourist Lodge on Tuesday.
Assam Small Industries Development Corporation Limited (ASIDC), nodal agency for implementation of the NSSH in Assam, in association with North Eastern Development Finance Corporation Ltd. (NEDFi), organized the meet with the support of PHD Chamber of Commerce (PHDCCI).
It is an initiative of the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MoMSME) targeted towards developing a supportive ecosystem for entrepreneurs. It was attended by around 60 entrepreneurs from in and around Tezpur town.
Deputy Director NER, PHDCCI, SK Hazarika said that the awareness programme would provide a much needed platform for the existing and emerging entrepreneurs of the State and enrich the knowledge of entrepreneurs on latest developments, technology trends, quality standards etc.
Dimpal Baruah of Indian Overseas Bank also spoke on their bank’s different schemes and facilities available for the entrepreneurs.
