TEZPUR: Tezpur MP Pallab Lochan Das visited the quarantine centres in different tea estates of Sonitpur district and reviewed the facilities available at the centres along with Dr Pradip Kumar Lahkar, MIP Tezpur.

In the meeting held at Rangapara with garden managers and ABITA and TAI, he asked all the garden managers to set up at least 10-bedded quarantine centre in every garden. Das also urged workers' unions, student organizations, Panchayat representatives and health workers to monitor the garden quarantine centres.

During the meeting, Dr Pradip Kumar Lahkar said that total 193 beds were available in different tea estates under Rangapara LAC and these were only for garden people arriving from other States after proper examination in designated quarantine centres.

MP Pallab Lochan Das also visited the quarantine centre set up in Rangapara College. He was accompanied by chairperson of Sonitpur Zila Parishad, Dolly Surin and other senior officials. Central committee member of ATTSA, Gobin Boraik requested the MP to provide all necessary facilities in quarantine centres set up in tea estates.
