THB College, Jamugurihat organized 'Meet the Author' programme

BISWANATH CHARIALI: The Nepali Department of THB College, Jamugurihat had organized a 'Meet the Author' programme along with a poetry circle on Thursday at the college premises with Dr Tilak Sarma, Head of the Department, in the chair.

Anjan Baskota, a young writer and author of many books graced the occasion as a chief guest. Dr Tilak Sarma read out the literary profile of the writer before the interaction session. During the interaction session, students put forward many questions and the young writer answered those queries. A poetry session was also organized where in Barsha Devi, Bandita Devi, Mamata Acharya, Lekhnath Pathak, Ganesh Tiwari, Ajita Devi, Parishmita Devi, Narayan Baskota, Akash Magar, Punam Devi, Trishna Devi, Hima Devi, Gitika Bhujel, Neha Devi and Tanuj Gurung read out poems. Addressing the students, Anjan Baskota inspired students to take up creative writing. He spoke about various trends and techniques of creative writing. Dr Tilak Sarma forwarded an analysis of the poems read out by the students.
