Third test of Lakhimpur COVID-19 patient comes negative

LAKHIMPUR: Lakhimpur District Health Department on Saturday sent swab samples of four persons to Regional Viral Research and Diagnostic Laboratory, ICMR, RMRC of Dibrugarh district for second COVID-19 test. On the other hand, the result of blood sample test of the Lakhimpur COVID-19 patient, Babu Ali sent on Thursday along the swab samples of three more persons of the district were reported to the District Health department on Friday. Moreover, the results of the swab samples of five persons sent to the ICMR on Friday were also reported on Saturday. All the result of these eight tests appeared negative for coronavirus as per a District Health Department source.

At present, two persons of the district, including the COVID-19 patient, are under observation in the isolation wards of the COVID-19 hospital of the district at Telahi Model Hospital while a total of 13 people are in the mass quarantine facility of the same hospital. In addition to it, 11 persons are in the mass quarantine facility located at OPD College.

On the other hand, the 17 people in the mass quarantine facility of North Lakhimpur Civil Hospital have been released. Out of them, one person was released on Friday while rest 16 were released on Saturday. Similarly, four persons out of six in the mass quarantine facility of Punjab Hotel were released on Saturday. Five persons out of the 15 in the mass quarantine facility at Kendriya Mahavidyalaya campus were also released. Of them, three persons were released on Friday while rest two were released on Saturday.

The number of people stamped for home quarantine in the district increased up to 4,532 on Saturday. On the other hand, a total of 1,745 people of the district completed their 28-day long period of home quarantine on Saturday.
