Three Additional Deputy Commissioners posted in Darrang district

MANGALDAI: In the major reshuffle in the state administration made on April 29, the Personnel Department (Personnel A) has transferred and posted three officers of Assam Civil Service on promotion as Additional Deputy Commissioners in the Darrang district.

They are – Assistant Commissioner of Hojai, Upasana Dutta, Circle Officer of Sonapur, Gopal Sarma and Circle Officer of Udalguri, Nabadeep Changmai. The Sentinel had carried out a news report on the transfer of three Additional Deputy Commissioners from the Aspirational District of Darrang without making any replacement. On the other hand, Assistant Commissioner of Darrang, Simanta Basumatary has been transferred to Bokajan Subdivision in the Karbi Anglong district as Assistant Commissioner while the service of Assistant Commissioner Rini Hazarika has also been placed in the Revenue and Disaster Management department for her posting as Circle Officer.

Significantly, Darrang Superintrndent of Police Prasanta Saikia, who has completed only eight months and 15 days tenure in Darrang, has been transferred as Superintendent of Police in Special Branch of Assam Police.
