Three drug peddlers arrested, brown sugar recovered by Darrang Police

MANGALDAI: A team of Darrang Police conducted well-planned raids in various places under Dhula Police Station in the district and arrested three drugs peddlers. Suspected brown sugar was recovered from their possession. The arrested persons are Lal Chand Ali (25), son of Bilat Ali of village Gadhowa Chapori under Mangaldai Police Station; Rahul Amin (25), son of Lal Mia Pradhan, and Haider Ali (18), son of Rahmat Ali, both of village Khatoniapara under Dhula Police Station.

The recovered materials included 40 plastic containers containing brown sugar, 20 empty plastic containers and five syringes. A case has been registered vide Dhula PS case no 98/20 U/S 22 NDPS Act. Deputy Superintendent of Police (HQ) Mamoni Hazarika, accompanied by Sub-Inspector Dantejit Deuri, conducted the operation as per the direction of Darrang Superintendent of Police Amrit Bhuyan.
