Three minors rescued from Ledo 6 Number line under Margherita region

MARGHERITA: Acting on a tip-off Ledo Police Outpost in charge Jyotish Phukan and Margherita Childline Sub Centre on Tuesday morning rescued 3 minors from Ledo 6 Number line under Margherita region. Rupam Das Coordinator and Nisha Das team member of Margherita Child line Sub centre said, "We got information that one woman from Lekhapani area under Margherita region is involved in child trafficking to other parts of the State and country. With the cooperation from Ledo police outpost Jyotish Phukan 3 minors were rescued from Ledo 6 Number line when they were about to be trafficked to Pasighat, Arunachal Pradesh.

Papu Sah, president of Children Friends Club (NGO) Margherita said, "It is very unfortunate that child traffickers' gang is active at 124 Margherita Number Constituency. Margherita Police and Margherita Administration (Civil) should take strong measures to nab all those who are involved in the child trafficking case." The victim parents lodged an FIR at Margherita Police station till the filing of this report.
