Three more dies of COVID in Sonitpur district

TEZPUR: Three persons lost their lives due to COVID-19 in Sonitpur district on Wednesday. They have been identified as Prasanna Nath (40), resident of Bhalukekhuwa, Pithakhuwa, Haren Saikia (60), resident of Singachuburi, Bihaguri and Ayesha Khatun, (61) (died in a private hospital), taking the death toll to 144 in the district during the second wave of the pandemic. Altogether 6,756 tests were done across the district on Wednesday out of which 6,232 were RAT and rest RT-PCR and among the new 285 positive cases found, 274 covid cases were from RAT and 11 from RT-PCR.
