Three test COVID-19 positive in Darrang district

MANGALDAI: Three more persons in Darrang district have tested positive for COVID-19. According to information, they have been identified as Sikander Ali (21) of village Nadi Kash, Besimari; Nazrul Islam (21) of village Besimari under Dalgaon Police Station and Sheikh Farid (25) of Dhula area under Dhula Police Station. On their return journey from Mumbai, they reached Guwahati on May 26 and were placed under institutional quarantine at the quarantine centre at Kharupetia College. The district administration promptly admitted them in the isolation ward at Mangaldai Civil Hospital. With the identification of these three COVID-19 patients, the total number of COVID-19 patients in the district has gone up to a total of seven patients.
