MORIGAON: Altogether 11 new COVID-19 positive cases, including a 3-year-old child, were detected in Morigaon district on Sunday.

The 11 people had returned from other States and had been quarantined at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya (JNV) as well as Laharighat's Women ITI centre. After testing positive, they were shifted to Morigaon Civil Hospital immediately.

Among the COVID-19 affected persons, one Abu Sual (3) of Matiparbat, Jagiroad constituency had come from Tripura and had been quarantined at Morigaon's JNV since May 26. On the other hand, the remaining 10 COVID-19 affected persons are Prasanjit Biswas (19) of Bhakuwamari, Laharighat; Izazul Islam (20) of Tatikata, Morabari; Asananda Biswas (25) of Bhuragaon-Falihamari; Ahiya Alam (18) of Moirabari's Hatimuria; Ankurmoni Amsi (24) of Kushtoli Laubhurunga; Sankar Bordoloi (19) of Kushtoli; Ranju Saikia (33) of Mahdala; Utpal Saikia (32); Hiranmoi Saikia (24) and Habibur Rahman. They had returned from Tamil Nadu and Hyderabad.
