Tinsukia administration launched distribution of rehabilitation grants to flood-affected families

TINSUKIA: Tinsukia district administration launched the distribution of rehabilitation grants to 21 flood-affected families whose houses were fully or partially damaged. Out of 21 families, 17 families received Rs 95,100 each while 4 families got Rs 3,200 each through DBT mode. In the ceremonial launch held at DC's conference hall on Saturday, 5 families were presented cheques in presence of Faruq Alam secretary Sports & Youth Welfare Government of Assam, MLA of Digboi Suren Phukan, Narsing Pawar Deputy Commissioner of Tinsukia besides other officials of district administration. The programme also witnessed the launching of 'Orunudoi Month'.
